[Figures out how to open the door again and then slams it closed behind his teammates when everyone's in. He stalks off to go look for — you know what? I don't even know what you need for a broken arm.]

[Just going to RUMMAGE LOUDLY through whatever is in the bathroom.]

Better for them to think me an amiable clown. That way if I need to start back stabbing, no one sees it coming.

[Gets up, goes into his room. Yells out at you.]

Hey, do you have any spare cloth I can borrow?

[Looking after you for a long minute.]

...depends. What do you need it for?

I'm trying to make a thing. Something to cover my face. It won't be perfect, but it'll work. I think I have enough in here to kind of...

[You hear some cloth ripping.]

[Coming in to see what the hell you're doing.]

You really want to cover it?

Yeah, I really do.

[As you enter, you see that he has some clothing torn up and wrapped around his face. It functions as a very crude, makeshift mask, but it essentially covers his face pretty well for what it is.

[Looks like he wants to say something, but in the end he shrugs. Picking his battles, maybe.]

I got some extra clothes in the room I woke up in.

Yeah, so did I. I was able to make do with what I had.

[you notice his arm is still in the sling you put on him, btw. He also seems to not be moving it around as much as he was before.]

[Thank God for small favors.]

Not bad. You just tie it on?

Yeah. I'm going to keep looking around until I can find a better one, but for now I think this will work well enough.

Yeah, I made little eye holes and everything.

[Looks around and sits down on his bunk.]

So it looks like my arm is going to be out of it for a couple of days. At least, if my regeneration works like I think it does. Sorry for being non-chalant about it earlier. I just wasn't sure with Autumn in our room if she should know how bad my arm was hurt.

[A beat.]

How bad is it? Should I start looking for some kinda splint?

That...might be a good idea. Cause it kind of hurts an unbelievable amount right now.

[And he's going to head out of the dorm altogether; you hear the door open and then close behind him.]

Wait! Ah...geez...he sure is headstrong.

[Sighs and decides to lie down to get as comfortable as he can get.]

[He's back in a few minutes with a spatula; the metal hand is working at the head of it, twisting back and forth until it comes free and all that remains is the straight, flat metal surface.]

This oughtta work. Let me see your arm.

[laughs and holds out his arm.]

Well, that was fairly clever and resourceful of you, Rusty.

Wait till we're done, then see how happy you are about it.

We're going on guesswork here, pal, and I don't think it's gonna feel good.

[His smile quickly fades.]

Eesh...good point there. Well, do what must be done. As long as it is facing the right way and straight, I think we did okay.

Okay, well... let's see it.

[Gingerly takes his arm out of the sling and holds it out to you, grimacing.

It is definitely sitting at a very wrong angle.]

[Oh boy. We sure are doing this.]

[Let's. Uhm. Try and make that straighter.]

[If it is hurting him, Chum seems fairly stoic about the whole thing. He does occassionally let out a grunt of pain now and again. His voice is a little shaky though as he speaks.]

Let's not let me do this ever again, okay?

That's what I've been saying the whole time.

[Is that straight? That looks pretty straight. Pressing the spatula handle in flat against it.]
