[ it's morning, and though there's no shrill of an alarm or sunlight streaming in through windows, you've all just woken up. probably. That would account for why you seem to be in bed, and why you don't remember doing anything before this. It must have been a nice restful sleep.

. . . actually, maybe the reason you don't remember doing anything isn't related to having just woken up at all. if you search your mind, you'll find your recollection totally blank.

[ there's a delay before they answer their door, not out of caution but they had gone from asleep to awake and then it had gone from silence to knocking. And voices.

Dragging fingers through their hair -- they fumble with the door handle a little, distracted, before yanking it open. ]

[ exits his room after a moment, when it's clear the boy he was talking to also had no idea what's going on. his eyes widen little in a muted reaction of surprise at seeing someone he didn't expect ]

[ glances down the hall at the other bedrooms and without knocking or warning, opens up the does to the other bedrooms ]

[ that's a let down. Tries the last door to the common room. ]

[ trails after, mostly silent, but taking time in each empty room to go inside and walk the perimeter ]

[ Well that's annoying. But relieving too. If they're all in the same boat, no reason to be so cautious. His expression settles on a grin and he throws on the couch. ]

[ they're completely without gesture though, besides the easy smile to accompany the affirmation. ]

Well, even though it might be weird to say "it's nice to meet you" in a situation like this, I'm glad I'm not alone. As long as we're in this strange situation together, I'm sure at least we can support each other.

[ a thoughtful pause, before they reach out and grasp the offered hands with both of their own. Not too tightly but firmly, not quite sure what to do... with them now... ]
