Who: Everyone
When: Day 1, Morning
Where: The Dorms
What: It begins.
[ it's morning, and though there's no shrill of an alarm or sunlight streaming in through windows, you've all just woken up. probably. That would account for why you seem to be in bed, and why you don't remember doing anything before this. It must have been a nice restful sleep.
in this room you don't recognize.
. . . actually, maybe the reason you don't remember doing anything isn't related to having just woken up at all. if you search your mind, you'll find your recollection totally blank.
Maybe you should get up and find out what's going on ]

Dragging fingers through their hair -- they fumble with the door handle a little, distracted, before yanking it open. ]

Three of us, now?

Hi.
no subject
Hey. Seen anyone else?
no subject
You. [ and then points to the other ] And you. No one else.
no subject
Empty.
[ that's a let down. Tries the last door to the common room. ]
no subject
[ trails after, mostly silent, but taking time in each empty room to go inside and walk the perimeter ]
Just us.
[ or so it seems ]
no subject
Got the whole place to ourselves then! Dibs!
no subject
Dibs?
[ watches, staying very still, almost unnaturally so. ]
no subject
[ cheery. he still has no idea what's going on but no real reason to make that obvious. ]
no subject
Okay. It's yours.
[ the dibsing hasn't really quite sunken in on that level, but it isn't as though they particularly are attached to the furniture. ]

[ it's not that satisfying when no one reacts!!
twists around on the couch to stare at the spray-painted red name on the wall. points to that. ]
Unless whoever put their name up there has a complaint.
no subject
[ looks over at where he's pointing. ]
Who did that?
[ as if the other will know. ]

No. I woke up.
no subject
Could you tell me where this is?
no subject
No.
no subject
no subject
Yes.
. . . and confused?
no subject
no subject
Yes.
[ they're completely without gesture though, besides the easy smile to accompany the affirmation. ]

Well, even though it might be weird to say "it's nice to meet you" in a situation like this, I'm glad I'm not alone. As long as we're in this strange situation together, I'm sure at least we can support each other.

[ a thoughtful pause, before they reach out and grasp the offered hands with both of their own. Not too tightly but firmly, not quite sure what to do... with them now... ]
It's nice to meet you.

Let's look around more. Maybe there are more people in other parts of the building.

[ after a moment they raise one of his hands up to their face, to rub their cheek against it a little. It's mostly curiousity, even if it's a halfway affection gesture. ]
Okay.
