[ it's morning, and though there's no shrill of an alarm or sunlight streaming in through windows, you've all just woken up. probably. That would account for why you seem to be in bed, and why you don't remember doing anything before this. It must have been a nice restful sleep.

I was going to go look, to see if we could find anything. Are we supposed to perform?

I figured we were a circus. That'd explain the weird cabaret costumes, the elephant man who can do acrobatics, the strong man twins... Do you have some special talents?

I can't promise I've remembered it perfectly. But most of the pages were damaged, so all that could be read were the insides of the covers. Someone wrote about special domes being build to hold people with magic, during a time when a plague had broken out. Non-humans were mentioned, too, though not elaborated on. It mentioned a cure, too, so maybe we- or whoever was brought here were the ones with the plague, being quarantined. The last page only said "Finally, we will have our miracle."

I don't remember anything. I've just been trying to figure things out as I go along. I can tell that there is some kind of power present in me, but I don't know if I could determine what it does without trying to use it.

How can it scare you if you don't know what it is?

...Rather, once you know what it is, it won't scare you anymore. So there's no point in waiting around being creeped out by your own insides.
