What: It begins.

[ it's morning, and though there's no shrill of an alarm or sunlight streaming in through windows, you've all just woken up. probably. That would account for why you seem to be in bed, and why you don't remember doing anything before this. It must have been a nice restful sleep.

in this room you don't recognize.

. . . actually, maybe the reason you don't remember doing anything isn't related to having just woken up at all. if you search your mind, you'll find your recollection totally blank.

Maybe you should get up and find out what's going on ]

After we're dead, I think I can handle whatever you can dish out.

[Puuuuulls. The right arm starts to shake, and the tendons stand out; the left is implacable and starts to leave dents.]

[stands as far from the door as possible in case something bad happens.]

[But his grip slips, and by the time he wedges his fingers back in, the doors are sliding open.]

[Heading out into the first floor.]

I don't have a lot of frame of reference for the following statement, but I'm fairly certain this is the worst start to a day ever.

Might be onto something there.

[Brings himself up short at the edge of the kitchen.]

[looks around the kitchen and shrugs.]

I don't know. Too bad there aren't handy little notes lying around to tell us what stuff is.

They coulda started with us, if they were gonna be nice about it.

[Opening up cabinets to look inside, one after the next. A little agitated, like they might have answers.]

[Looks around the kitchen as well, though nowhere near as thoroughly as you do. Pulls out a pan randomly from one of the cabinets.]

Maybe these can be used as weapons?

[Takes a practice swing with one, like it's a tennis racket.]

Seems a little clunky, though.

Yeah, but heavy enough I think that it could do some decent damage.

[Takes a pan with him. You know...just in case.]

[Is it heavy? It doesn't feel heavy. Frowns at it and switches it to his right hand.]

Yeah...might be worth having something to defend ourselves with. You never know.

So, I guess we aren't the only two here. Not counting the weird shape-shifter upstairs on our floor.

Yeah. Some interesting people though. I have to say, I'm a bit saddened to see that my...face is not the least bit normal...
