Who: Everyone
When: Day 1, Morning
Where: The Dorms
What: It begins.
[ it's morning, and though there's no shrill of an alarm or sunlight streaming in through windows, you've all just woken up. probably. That would account for why you seem to be in bed, and why you don't remember doing anything before this. It must have been a nice restful sleep.
in this room you don't recognize.
. . . actually, maybe the reason you don't remember doing anything isn't related to having just woken up at all. if you search your mind, you'll find your recollection totally blank.
Maybe you should get up and find out what's going on ]

Well, what have we here?
Re: [In the Kitchen]
The front begins: "Raqia is home, now. There was nowhere else to go. Not with the progress of the plague, and the magic corruption wrought in its wake. Much as I might miss the sky, I remind myself that this was the best of many, many bad options. All the modern conveniences of the outside world have been brought in with us. Humans and non-humans, all of us with magic will be safe in here, they assured us. And went unspoken, out there they will be safe from us.
The progress on the domes went quicker than I would have thought possible, but they sprang up in hardly as long as it had taken to breathe word of the idea. I would move heaven itself, to have them find our cure half as quickly. With any luck, we won't be here long." At which point, the page runs out of room, and you can't read on. At the back, there is only one line written:
Finally, we will have our miracle. ]

[Takes the book over to Bucky.]
Hey, I found this book. Can you make heads or tails of it?
Re: [In the Kitchen]
[Holds the book in his left hand so he can pick at the pages with the fignernails of his left, trying to get them apart.]

[he says with a laugh.]
What do you think it means?

Re: [In the Kitchen]
I think it's kind of garbage now...
Re: [In the Kitchen]
"Raqia"... whatever that is.
