[She does something that looks like a fencing display, waving her left arm gracefully around holding nothing]

So what's ruby?

She's.. uh. It's nothing.

I still don't know my name though. Oh well, I sort of like Snow.

Guess you've got it a little longer.

Yeah.. I guess.

[Looks troubled]

I'm part of something bigger... why am I here?

What kind of thing do you mean?

I remember fighting. Something really big. And there were others there all working together to take it down. So much... skill.

[She sounds a bit excited]

So, what — you were on some kind of team?

Maybe that's what it was. It all seemed pretty coordinated. Maybe we had practiced together? Or worked together? But I remember being sort of angry. Or jealous I guess. I don't know.

About what?

This girl. Ruby. She came up with a really good plan. But I was upset about it. And then she was just so... majestic when we won. Standing up there with her ... whatever that was.

[Her voice takes a bit of an edge of irritation]

So she stole the spotlight, basically.

I think I just wish I had thought of the plan...

Hey. New day means time for a new plan.

[He puts a hand on your shoulder.]

[She seems to feel awkward now. Perhaps vulnerability doesn't suit her?]

It's fine. Well, how about you... what was your memory about?

...nothing much.

[Takes the hand back.]

Hmmm. I'm sorry. I wish you had learned more.

[Pauses]

Actually I can't really say that for sure.

Yeah? How come?

I... I know I didn't really enjoy my experience. And I seemed to be really negative about all of it. Hmm. I don't think I want that.

What, the memories?

[She nods]

I felt a lot of pressure. To be the best. I didn't like it.

I guess you could just... not take em.

[Displeasure]

Yeah, I don't think I want that either. I want to know about those people I was with.

I need to.

Yeah, I get you.

They were pretty important to you, then?

I'm not sure... But it's really all I have.
