[ You've met each other, and at least some of the confused amnesiacs have ventured out into the closest thing the sealed city has to open air, outside the dormitory building they woke in. The arena loomed large, the biggest landmark the city had to offer, and at some elected to explore the large building.

For those that didn't, the grand flash of light that fills the streets, coming from the direction of the Arena may call attention to it.

For those already there, the blinding light that suddenly blazed into existence is impossible to miss, pure and bright. If they closed their eyes reflexively, they may not notice, but the observant might notice that the flash left no afterimage on their closed eyelids. For those with their eyes left open, they will find the light doesn't hurt, or diminish their vision when they look away, though they still have difficulty seeing into that burning core.

Not long after, the light starts to dim. At the core of it, a mass of brilliant wings, too numerous to count keeps itself aloft in a constant whirr of motion and feathers. Or— maybe that's wrong, in certain moments there are no pure white feathers but stripped musculature, raw and writhing, with far too many eyes hidden amongst the folds.

It sounds like their name is Metatron, and I don't think you should act so hostile to them, either.

If he gives us what we need, I won't have any problem with the guy.

Is that what this is about, that it would be fine if they would just do whatever you thought best?! They could have done more for us, but why should that be so hard to forgive? Why are you treating them like such villains when the worst we can honestly accuse them of is a brief inconvenience?! You're obviously a kind person, so why can't you extend that to them!

So you're gonna tell me you're okay with some guy you never met taking something that's yours, calling the shots about how you get it back, and telling you you can't leave even if you want to?

I'm not okay with any of this, but forcing blame onto others as an excuse to mistreat them isn't improving anything! We still don't know none of this wasn't a mistake, or an accident, or caused by someone else entirely, so what's wrong with giving them the benefit of the doubt?

Don't you think if this was a a mistake or an accident they might've, I dunno, mentioned that?

I think she's made it clear she doesn't know either way. But some people would rather admit to fault than admit to failing, so I wouldn't begrudge them that either way.

Kid, you're assuming a whole hell of lot in her favor.

I believe that all people will naturally choose to treat each other kindly if they're just given the chance. I'm going to show her that faith the same as I would anyone else.

So show her some faith. But, Christ, expect her to extend a little back our way!

She's being perfectly helpful to us right now.

She's being helpful by telling us all the things we have to do and all the things we can't!

She isn't actually forcing us into anything.

[ also it's not like I really listen when people tell me there are things I have to or can't do ]

I'm not saying you shouldn't be angry, but I'm sure it will help more in the end to treat her civilly, too.
